About Our Business

Marva’s Happy Town was planned and structured to provide children
ages infant to 10years, with a safe, healthy & creative home environment in
which to grow. Learning through play and by means of actual experience is
a cornerstone of our program.

Our daily activities include; a wide range of art & music, large and small
muscle co-ordination, story telling, flannel boards, puppets and outside
play which will stimulate his and her inquisitive mind.
About Our Director
Marva Lyons is truly a pillar in the Alameda County Community. She has
worked in the field for over 35 years , 25 of those years  being a family
child care provider. Presently she is attending Merritt College majoring in
2 degrees, and has a Child Development Permit. She is the California
Association for Family Child Care, State President. She was the Alameda
Family Child Care Association President. And now Marva is also currently
the CAEYC Family Child Care Chair, and NAEYC‘s co-chair of the Family
Chair Care Interest Forum.   Knowing what it takes to be a leader, she is a
board member of several organizations in the city of Alameda, past
President of the Alameda Chapter  NAACP, a board member of Alameda
Chapter of Red Cross,  and Alameda County Corps Member.  As you see
Marva is committed to her job, her family child care children and her
community. She is a leader that believes you can make a difference.
